Terms of Service

Effective October 12, 2026 · version 2026-10-12

Please read Section 4 carefully — it covers the accuracy of exported data and the limits of what you can rely on it for.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of MapPull (the "Service"), operated by Zanevan Engineering, LLC ("Zanevan", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an employer or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.

We object to and expressly reject any different or additional terms contained in any purchase order, vendor form, or confirmation you send us, unless we agree to them in a signed writing.

2. What MapPull does

MapPull locates the data layers behind a publicly accessible web map or mapping service that you identify, and converts the layers you select into Shapefile, DXF, GeoJSON, or KMZ files. The conversion runs in your browser.

MapPull is a format-conversion and retrieval convenience. It is not a data source, a survey, a design, or a professional service, and Zanevan's role in operating it is not the practice of engineering or land surveying.

3. Public data only

You may use the Service only with data you are lawfully entitled to access. The Service is designed to work with openly published mapping services and does not defeat, bypass, or circumvent authentication, tokens, access controls, or rate limits. Where a layer requires credentials, the Service stops and tells you so.

You are solely responsible for confirming that your use of any dataset complies with that data provider's terms of use, license, and any applicable law, and for any redistribution of data you obtain. Many public datasets carry attribution or use restrictions. We do not review, and cannot advise you on, the license terms of third-party data.

You may not use the Service to place unreasonable load on any third-party service, to obtain data you are not entitled to, or to resell access to the Service itself.

4. Accuracy, and the limits of what you receive — please read

Data exported through the Service originates from third parties, not from Zanevan. We do not create, verify, correct, or warrant it. Public mapping data commonly contains positional error, outdated features, generalized boundaries, missing attributes, and undocumented coordinate-system assumptions. The Service reproduces the source data as it finds it, including its errors.

EXPORTED DATA IS NOT A BOUNDARY SURVEY, A TITLE DETERMINATION, A UTILITY LOCATE, OR AN ENGINEERING DESIGN, AND MUST NOT BE RELIED UPON AS ANY OF THOSE. Parcel lines obtained through the Service are graphical representations maintained for assessment or planning purposes and do not establish property boundaries. Utility or infrastructure layers do not establish the presence, absence, or location of anything in the field.

Any use of exported data in surveying, engineering, construction, excavation, or land-use work must be independently verified and must be reviewed and accepted by a licensed professional exercising their own judgment, who takes professional responsibility for it. Nothing produced by the Service bears a professional seal.

5. Accounts

You must provide an accurate email address and confirm it before exporting. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at chase@zanevan.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

One account is for one person. Do not share credentials. We may suspend accounts that appear to be shared, automated, or used to evade the limits of the free tier.

6. Plans, billing, and renewal

The free tier permits a single layer in a single download, once per account. Pro is offered at US $29 per month or US $250 per year. All prices are in United States dollars; if your card is in another currency, your bank sets the exchange rate and any conversion fee.

PAID PLANS RENEW AUTOMATICALLY at the end of each billing period — monthly plans monthly, annual plans annually — and your payment method is charged automatically until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep Pro access until then.

Payments are processed by Stripe, and your card details are handled by Stripe, not by us. Prices are exclusive of tax. Where we are required to collect sales tax, use tax, VAT, GST, or a similar tax on the sale, it is calculated from your billing address at checkout, shown before you pay, and added to the price; where we are not required to collect it, any such tax is your responsibility. If you are buying for a business that is registered for VAT or GST, you may enter its tax identification number at checkout and the reverse-charge or equivalent mechanism will apply where available. You agree to receive invoices and receipts electronically.

Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or where we choose to make an exception. If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend Pro access if it remains unpaid.

IF YOU ARE A CONSUMER IN A JURISDICTION THAT GIVES YOU A RIGHT TO WITHDRAW FROM A PURCHASE OF DIGITAL SERVICES WITHIN A COOLING-OFF PERIOD (for example, 14 days in the European Union and the United Kingdom): Pro access begins the moment your payment is confirmed. By subscribing you request that we begin providing the Service immediately, and you acknowledge that once we have done so, you lose the right to withdraw to the extent the law permits that outcome. Where the law nonetheless gives you a right to cancel and be refunded, we will honor it.

We may change pricing on renewal with at least 30 days' notice to the email on your account. If you don't want the new price, cancel before the renewal date.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — including its software, interface, conversion logic, and documentation ("Zanevan Materials") — is and remains the property of Zanevan. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is in good standing, and nothing more. You may not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service, or use it to build a competing product.

We claim no ownership of the data you export or of the files the Service produces for you. Rights in that data remain with its original provider, on that provider's terms.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uptime. The Service depends on third-party mapping services we do not control, and those may change, throttle, or disappear without notice. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service; if we discontinue it entirely we will give reasonable notice to active subscribers and refund the unused portion of any prepaid term.

9. Warranties and disclaimer

We will provide the Service in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with applicable industry standards.

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS, THE SERVICE AND ALL EXPORTED DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", AND ZANEVAN DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness of any data supplied by you or by third parties, including government and other public datasets, and are not responsible for outcomes arising from inaccuracies in such data.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZANEVAN'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION, WILL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

IN NO EVENT WILL EITHER PARTY BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, OR LOSS OF DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

These limits are a fundamental basis of the bargain and apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.

11. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold Zanevan harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, your use or redistribution of exported data in violation of a data provider's terms or applicable law, or your reliance on exported data without the independent verification described in Section 4.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, for non-payment, or where use threatens the Service or a third-party data provider. Where practical we will give notice and an opportunity to cure.

Sections 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, 11, 14, and 15 survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make a material change we will bump the version and ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in, and we will post the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use after acceptance is your agreement to the updated Terms. If you do not accept, you may cancel, and we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid term.

14. Governing law and consumers' local rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Missouri.

If you are a consumer — an individual using the Service outside your trade, business, or profession — nothing in these Terms removes or limits any right you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you normally live, and where those laws entitle you to bring a claim in your local courts, you may do so. The disclaimers and limitations in Sections 9 and 10 apply to you only to the extent those laws allow.

15. International use, export control, and sanctions

The Service is operated from the United States and offered worldwide. You are responsible for complying with the laws of the place you use it from, including any local rules on the data you export.

You may not use the Service if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or territory subject to comprehensive United States sanctions, or if you are a person or entity on a U.S. government restricted-party list, or if your use would otherwise violate U.S. export-control or sanctions law. We may suspend accounts, decline payments, or refund a purchase where we believe this applies.

16. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service and supersede prior discussions. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

These Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience, and the English version controls.
